Huge congratulations to Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller who earlier today won the best actor award at the 2012 Olivier Awards!
Benedict and Jonny were jointly nominated for their roles as The Creature and Victor in Frankenstein which ran at the National Theatre last year. Benedict and Jonny also won the Evening Standard Theatre Award for best actor last year for their roles and Benedict was named best actor at the Critics Circle Theatre Awards.
Frankenstein was adapted by Nick Dear and directed by Danny Boyle. Bruno Poet also won an Olivier Award for his stunning lighting design.

Benedict's Small Island co-star Ruth Wilson won her second Olivier Award for her superb turn in Anna Christie and Bertie Carvel (Sebastian in Sherlock The Blind Banker) won the best actor in a musical award for his brilliant portrayal of Miss Trunchbull in Matilda.
