Happy Holidays to You All!

Happy holidays to all of my wonderful followers! Hope you’ve enjoyed this past year – as ever Benedict has had an extremely busy year and there’s lots to look forward to next year!

January sees the release of three Rumpole tales (Benedict stars as young Rumpole) on audio book (free with a trial from Audible) as well as the Radio 4 adaptation of Metamorphosis

March sees the release of My Dear Bessie: A Love Story with Louise Brealey and Benedict Cumberbatch reading the very popular love stories between Chris and Bessie.

Next spring will see Melrose (based on the books by Edward St Aubyn) air on Sky Atlantic (and Showtime in the US) with Benedict starring as Patrick Melrose. You can get a jump start on reading up on the novels now before the series airs.

In May a small independent film that Benedict appeared in gets its US bow. Avengers Infinity War Part 1 will see Benedict reprise his role as Doctor Strange as The Avengers, Spiderman and the Guardians of the Galaxy go up against Thanos. You can see the first trailer below:

More Rumpole tales are due for release in July

Also due for release next year is Mowgli (previously called The Jungle Book Origins) which will see Benedict star as Shere Khan in Andy Serkis’ performance captured film.

And hopefully coming soon are the film adaptations of How to Stop Time (which is due to star Benedict as Tom Hazard) and Gypsy Boy (in which Benedict will appear as the lead’s father). Benedict is also due to star in Rio opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in a picture directed by Luca Guadagnino. The film will be a Studiocanal/SunnyMarch production.
