Benedict Cumberbatch nominated for best actor at the British Independent Film Awards

Imitation-Game-Poster-1Benedict Cumberbatch has been nominated for best actor for his portrayal of Alan Turing in The Imitation Game at the Moet British Independent Film Awards. The Imitation Game was nominated for 4 awards overall including best actress for Keira Knightley for her portrayal of Joan Clarke, best screenplay for Graham Moore and best British Independent film.

The Moet British Independent Film Awards are held on 7 December in central London.

In other news a Sherlock Paddington bear designed by Benedict Cumberbatch goes on display from tomorrow at the Museum of London. The bear is part of the Paddington Trail – a series of bears that have been designed by celebrities and artists that will be displayed across London to raise awareness for the NSPCC.

The bears will be on display from 4 November to 30 December
